Во втором полугодии 2024 года на Дальнем Востоке будет запущен центр обработки данных (ЦОД) для энергоемких вычислений, в частности, для майнинга криптовалюты, который введет в строй компания «Битривер-Б» (входит в группу компаний BitRiver). Проектная мощность ЦОДа — 100 МВт.
Как сообщил директор Ассоциации промышленного майнинга (АПМ) Сергей Безделов, это крупнейший объект среди всех дата-центров в Республике Бурятия и Дальневосточном федеральном округе. Инвестиции компании BitRiver в проект превышают 1,4 млрд руб.

«В 2022 году началось непосредственное строительство ЦОДа в рамках территории опережающего развития (ТОР «Бурятия»), а в этом году BiRiver завершит реализацию знакового инвестиционного проекта для Дальнего Востока и всей России, несмотря на включение компании в санкционный список Минфина США», — заявил Безделов.
На предприятии будут работать порядка 120 специалистов высокого класса. Особое внимание будет уделено реализации программы роста молодых кадров для отрасли высоких технологий.
По оценкам Ассоциации, вся сфера высокопроизводительных и энергоемких вычислений в России, особенно с учетом тенденции повсеместного использования искусственного интеллекта, к 2035 г. может потреблять до нескольких десятков ГВт.
В середине февраля один из крупнейших в мире вендоров оборудования для технологии искусственного интеллекта посетил площадку и оценил ее пригодность для решения задач ИИ. ЦОД будет специализироваться на высокопроизводительных энергоемких вычислениях, в том числе майнинге, предоставлении облачных и других передовых цифровых услугах.
