Производитель майнингового оборудования, компания Bitmain, представила новейшую модель Antminer S21 HYD с хешрейтом 335 TH/s (терахашей в секунду) и коэффициентом энергоэффективности 16 J/TH (джоулей на терахаш) на конференции The World Digital Mining Summit 2023 в Гонконге.
На текущий момент это самая мощная машина для добычи биткоинов — предыдущий рекорд по хешрейту принадлежал устройству WhatsMiner M53S ++ от компании MicroBT, представленному в мае этого года. Его мощность составляет 320 TH/s (терахашей в секунду), а эффективность — 22 J/TH.
Вместе с Antminer S21 HYD была представлена модель Antminer S21. Она имеет хэшрейт 200 TH/s и коэффициент энергоэффективности 17,5 J/TН.

Также стало известно, что Bitmain поставит проходящей процедуру банкротства майнинговой компании Core Scientific 27 тыс. устройств Antminer S19J XP (мощностью 151 TH/s) в обмен на $23,1 млн и еще $53,9 млн в виде акций Core Scientific. Стоимость акций, по сообщению майнера, будет определена судом по делам о банкротстве в четвертом квартале этого года.
